I’m often asked about colors palettes for the home and for websites and so I decided to create a series of colors that I hope will inspire you to find colors for your home or blog! As I’m sure you know, colors are very important when it comes to your home and DIY home decor projects; they can make or break a room! Colors are equally important for your branding and website. Today’s color palette and room decor ideas were inspired by my Texas roots for this Texas-inspired living room.

A couple of months ago, I found a bench that was similar to the ones in my room mockup below and I still think about it to this day. Crazy, right? But, thank goodness for my mood board and my husband because I didn’t buy it. Both brought me back to reality. Where would I put it? I had no idea. What was it going to go with? Absolutely nothing!

Using This Color Palette For Your Living Room
With this room, I’d keep the walls white. I plan on using prints in the room and having a neutral color as the base keeps the room from feeling closed in and busy. The gold and brown will be used for the decor. This is a somewhat monochromatic room, but I love the browns, print, and golds! To me, white makes any color pop and the browns and prints in this living room definitely pop! I love the faux hide rug and gold accents give the room a warm and comfy feel.
How would you incorporate these colors into your living room or any other room in your home?
