Salads are a healthy meal and I love them because you can use whatever ingredients you want to create them! 1 of my most favorite ingredients to add to any salad is avocado. Since avocado doesn’t have much of a taste on its own, it goes well with most ingredients and is so healthy for you!
I’m also a big seafood lover and shrimp is also an ingredient I often have in my salads. I decided to create 2 of my favorites into this 1 salad.
This salad is full of yumminess and color. My Nutritionist always says the more color on your plate, the better and I’m here to tell you, this salad does not disappoint!
I try to have a salad 2-3 times each week. I think this is where most of my fruits and vegetables come from. As much as I love salads, they are time hogs because there is so much cutting involved. This is why meal planning is so important to allow you to prepare. By meal planning, I am able to cut up all the vegetables needed for my salads on Sunday. When I’m ready to make them, I just grab the baggies from the refrigerator and put everything together!
I love cooking, but I don’t love spending all night in the kitchen and so I’ve found several ways to cut down on the amount of time I spend in the kitchen each night. I also like to add things you don’t regularly find in a salad such as,
- Chia seeds
You can pretty much put anything you want in a salad, another reason why I love them so!
