Meet Lynn

It’s always fun and exciting to meet others obsessed with DIY and who have a love for cooking.  Here on the blog, you’ll find lots of DIY tutorials, home decor tips and inspiration, and recipes for all skill levels.  I started this blog back in 2016 as a way to journal myself and my husband’s move from Washington D.C to Raleigh, NC, but in these short three years, it’s grown into something more.

I remember my very first home DIY project.  Let me tell ya….#epicfailure!  I was trying to make a bookshelf and it ended up looking like anything, but a bookshelf!  I wish I had a picture to show you, but I’m also glad I don’t have one so I don’t embarrass myself.  And let’s not even discuss the very first time I ever tried to cook!

You don’t have to be a DIY guru or know your way around a hammer and a miter saw to turn your house into a home for your family.  You don’t have to be an amazing chef to make great meals for your family, either.  All you need is a little perseverance and heart.  Perseverance to try again when whatever you’re making doesn’t turn out quite right and you want to give up and heart to know and believe in yourself that you can do it!

There are tutorials and projects for all skill levels so that no matter where you are, you’ll find something that you can be proud of and you can say, “Yep, I made that!”

If you’re new here, so glad you decide to stop by!  One of the best ways to move around the website is to pick a blog category, visit the shop for some of my favorite decor pieces, and just read and look around, or if you’re looking to hire me for home decor styling, you’ll find that on the site too!
