How to Incorporate Color Into Your Home For Spring

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I am big on color.  I mean really big and my home reflects that. I’m often asked by others, “How do I add color to my home?”  I’ve even had people say to me they are scared of color.

Let me say this right now.  You shouldn’t be scared of color.  I think the fear comes from the fact that you may overdo it.  Today I am especially talking to those who are color adverse. You can incorporate color into your home decor gradually.  You don’t have to do it all at once!

Here are 5 ways to incorporate color into your home slowly, but surely.

Add color to home

Pillows

Y’all, pillows are the easiest and most non-intrusive way to introduce color into your home.   The great thing about pillows is that they come in so many colors, textures, and sizes, there is something that will fit everyone’s decor.

Throws

Throws are like pillows in that there are several colors and textures.  Texture is a great way to add dimension to a room. They are easy, simple, and no-nonsense.  Throw (no pun intended) it on a couch, a bed, a chair, and poof! You’ve got color.

Placemats

Placemats, just like pillows and throws come in all different shapes, colors, and textures, which is one of the reasons I love placemats.    They are so easy to change in and out and such a simple way to add color to a room.

Table centerpieces

Adding color to the centerpiece on your dining room table is another small and unintrusive way to add those pops of color in your home.  Remember, start with one room at a time.

Colorful centerpieces

Flowers

Flowers are an easy way to add color to your home.  For many of us, we don’t even have to leave our house to get them.  Flowers come in all sizes and colors and it’s so incredibly simple to grab them and place them in a vase.  Not only do you get the color, but you also get the amazing smell throughout your home!

Are you ready to try adding a pop of color yo your home decor?
