If you’re coming from Follow the Yellow Brick Home, welcome! Her house is so great, isn’t it? I’m very happy you’ve decided to join us on our Home Tour! I’ve been working’ away and I’m excited you’ll be with us on this tour.
I’m super excited to join a few of my blogger friends to share our Christmas decor with you!
So being from Houston, I hate snow. When we moved to Raleigh, NC from DC, I wasn’t too excited about it, but E reassures me the snow was rare and I could ditch my Winter coats. Unfortunately, every year we’ve lived here, there’s been snow! This year, we’ve gotten snow this weekend, which is rare. I feel this is not a good sign! But, we’ll just have to see what happens!
It’s been a lot of fun to decorate for the holidays and a bunch of work, but it’s been so much fun!!!
The first area of our home I want to share with you is our front porch.
before we moved back to the south, having a porch was one one of those things I wanted to have. Fortunately, our home gave us 2 porches. I only decorate the front porch since it’s the one everyone really sees.
The front porch is one of my favorite areas of our home to decorate.
It’s funny because it doesn’t snow often here in Raleigh, but guess what? It snowed this weekend!
Usually, at this time of year, I’m outside working on some type of project, but this year, with the early snow, I don’t think we’ll be able to start any projects until the Spring.
When we made our dining room table, I knew trying to find chair would be a challenge, but I didn’t realize just how big of a challenge it would be. Once we decided to host Thanksgiving for E’s family, the pressure was on. I mean you can’t invite people over for Thanksgiving and have nowhere for them to sit!
My main goal for decorations this year was to use what we already had. I’ve purchased so much holiday decor, I shouldn’t have a need for anything else!
Using Christmas ornaments was an inexpensive way to fill these very tall glass vases. They give the room such a festive look, don’t you think?
The fireplace is the focal point of the first floor. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed decorating this room.
Thank goodness for my Cricut machine! I was able to make these Christmas Tree Farm signs in no time!
