Monday Morning Color Watch #3

I’m often asked about colors palettes for the home and for websites and so I decided to create a series of colors that I hope will inspire you to find colors for your home or blog! As I’m sure you know, colors are very important when it comes to your home and DIY home decor projects; they can make or break a room!  Colors are equally important for your branding and website. Today I want to share with you these bold and vibrant colors for your home office or your blog!

This color palette for home and websites was inspired by my own office.  If you’ve spent any time on my blog, you know I adore bright colors!  My office which isn’t quite finished (reveal coming soon) is full of these bright, bold colors.  It is my favorite room in the house.  When I walk in, I can’t help but be full of joy and happiness.  I look at this color palette; how could you possibly be in a bad mood if you’re in a room with these colors?

Please note: Colors may appear different due to your monitor or mobile device color settings.

Bold and vibrant colors palette for your home office

  • Left color: Gold (hexadecimal code: #ffce19)
  • Middle color: Fuschia (hexadecimal code: #9e0059)
  • Right color: Orange (hexadecimal code: #ff5400)

Using these bold and vibrant colors for your home

Bright, bold colors can be scary, but they don’t have to be.  Choosing the right color scheme is important when using this many vibrant colors.  With my office, I chose one color as the main color (gold) and used the other 2 colors of the palette as accent colors.  Each color is well represented without being overpowering.

All of these colors don’t have to appear on your walls.  You could do an all white room and use these colors for your pops of color.  Imagine how beautiful an all white room would be with decor using these colors?  If I had another room to decorate, I would so do that!

Using these bold and vibrant colors for your website

Should you decide you want to use this color palette, for your website, I would suggest using it as I described above for your home.  Because the colors are so vibrant, this color scheme would work best for a website that is all white and the gold, fuschia, and orange as your accent colors.  This color palette would be great for a fun, festive restaurant or a coach.

I love how vibrant colors can add interest to any space. While I prefer to keep my house in neutral tones, I love switching things out and adding colorful accents for the different seasons by adding accent pillows, throws, flowers etc and bright colors are perfect for summer!

    • Lynn 06/07/2017, 11:18 AM

Yes, everyone always asks me why my office is my favorite room and the house. It’s always because of the colors. It’s especially pretty in the morning time when the sun first comes out and bounces off the walls!

I actually really like that fuschia color. I used to wear earth tones and black all the time. I introduced colors into my wardrobe and I love it!

    • Lynn 06/07/2017, 11:16 AM

I used to only wear black too, Jenn and then one day I said, I need some color in my life! Thanks for stopping by!

  • Elise Cohen Ho 06/06/2017, 9:31 PM

  • Denay 06/07/2017, 2:08 AM

I am in love with beautiful vibrant color! If you were to visit me here in California or my condo in Mexico, you’d see gorgeous splashes of color everywhere. So I am loving the trio of colors you’re suggesting in this post: orange, pink and yellow. I hope new bloggers find this post while they’re pondering their blog’s colors. πŸ™‚

    • Lynn 06/07/2017, 11:15 AM

Oh, I bet that is so pretty Denay! There’s always something about vibrant colors that seem to make a room come to life!

  • Ant 06/07/2017, 9:04 AM

I think I’d use that pallet in a playroom or sunroom. πŸ™‚ I would use that yellow as an accent in our kitchen too πŸ™‚ Always a little intimidating to use bold colors…but, you can always change paint!

    • Lynn 06/07/2017, 11:14 AM

This would be a really fun palette for a kid’s playroom! Yes, that’s why I always say paint is my favorite way to decorate a room. if you don’t like it or you get sick of it, you can easily change it.

  • Julie 06/07/2017, 10:47 AM
