Once we’ve decided we’re a good fit to work together and we’ve gotten all of the agreements out of the way, I’ll send over your welcome packet and a comprehensive questionnaire.  The answers to your questionnaire will act as our playbook for your blog (sorry for the sports reference, but I’m from Texas.  What do you expect?).

Grab your glass of tea and let’s chat.  We’re going to talk about your wants and needs, likes and dislikes.   Actually, you’re probably going to need a pitcher of tea and a tasty treat.  Us creatives and entrepreneurs always seem to have this laundry list of ideas and wants (and of course it all has to get done right now!) so we need to chat and hash things out to figure out what does makes sense and what doesn’t.  

Yep, go ahead and grab all of those sheets of paper and notebooks where you’ve been writing down your ideas and bring them with you!  And yes, I know you have your full-time gig so I do have calls during the evening and on weekends.

Let the designing begin!  Based on our chat and your questionnaire, I’ll create your mood board, color palette, find 3 themes for you to choose from and the customizing and designing will begin!  Think of your website as your online home.  To me, your website needs decor just like your home.   You wouldn’t let anyone come over to a messy house, would you?  Of course not so that’s why, if needed, you’ll have a coming soon page too to help you start building that list!

I only work with one client at a time so that I can immerse myself in your project.  I’m not fond of the whole juggling act so you’ll have my undivided attention!

Time for me to code + let’s launch!

Once you’ve given me the high five, I’ll start customizing your theme and creating your blog header.  Your blog will be branded with your colors and fonts, you’ll be able to stay in contact with your readers because your email marketing system will be integrated into your blog.  Your blog will be able to tell you what is and isn’t working with analytics, basic SEO will help you get found when no one knows you exist, your readers will be able to share your fabulous content, and you’ll know how to maintain your blog if you choose to!

Four weeks later we’ll launch, you’ll have a site you and your readers love and a new friend!

And don’t worry, throughout this entire process we’ll be chatting and emailing so you’ll never feel like you’re alone.
