As you’ve probably learned, I love to keep things organized. It drives E crazy! As much as possible, I like to have things in a process so that I can make sure I don’t miss anything. Do I do everything in an organized manner? No, but I try to as much as possible. We all know that even the best-laid plans don’t always happen or work!
When it comes to the holidays, I try to stay ahead and organized as much as possible. Every year I say I’m going to have my Christmas shopping completed by December 1. I made that goal once. Remember what I said about the best-laid plans?
With spouses, friends, parents, and kids, it can be difficult to keep track of everyone you need to shop for-that’s why I have this holiday tracker. I keep notes of things people I plan to shop for during the year to make it easier when it’s the holidays to know what to buy.
E, my My Mom, and my Dad are the most difficult people to shop for on my list. Why? Because they have everything!
Have you ever been in the situation with your significant other that if you bought each other something for Christmas, it would only be for the sake of buying something? We’ve been in that situation numerous times. There have been many occasions where I have said we have a budget of $25 for our Christmas gifts. You know what? Those Christmas’ have been the most significant and important. I’ve enjoyed those presents the most. Money doesn’t always mean better so when you are brainstorming and coming up with gift ideas, always keep that at the front of your mind.
I made a printable version of the Gift Tracker and an online version. I know everyone has their own way of doing things so I made a version for whichever side you may fall on; someone who likes to print everything or someone who prefers having everything on your phone, tablet, or computer.
